Kind of humanoid characters (from the franchise)[]

The first thing you'll have to do, to make your own kind of humanoid character, (or its species,) is to either trace an original sketch, or retrace an sketch that original artists have done before.

Lombax[]

The Lombaxes are, without question, the most iconic, recurring species in the Ratchet & Clank universe. Believe me; I’m pretty sure you know how they look like: feline-like humanoids with big floppy, pointy ears and a tail, that also possesses the human hand configuration. Their paws are redesigned, by myself, into having six toes (three toes, on each foot) and soles on each foot, instead of just having like what their game counterparts' have: their paws original design, in the games, being triangular and flat on the bottom, lacking toes, and instead featuring two large claws and one smaller (almost vestigial) claw on each foot.

Here's how you can make them, in my art-style:

Ratchet-accurate color scheme[]

Fur[]
Ratchet (Updated Pilot attire)

Ratchet

Ratchet's color scheme, like in the games, is dandelion-yellow with auburn-brown stripes.

For the primary dandelion-yellow color of Ratchet's fur, you first have to type in color code "#fac700" for the first interior at that color, and trace that interior. Please then add a new layer, drag it to the bottom of the interior layer, go there, type in color code, "#fad100" and fill in the parts of the same color's primary variant. Then, duplicate the outline layer, go there, and type in color code "#c57902" for the 2nd interior layer at a brownish-color, and set its opacity at 46%-Normal. Please then add a new layer between the two interiors, reselect color code “#fac700”, choose the "Swordgrass" brush, and fill in the yellow to make Ratchet’s fur have a fur-like texture, and set its opacity at 36%-Normal. Make sure that all three layers are at 100%-Normal, before you merge them into one.

Fur Stripes[]

For the fur stripes, you first have to type in color code "#754005" for the first interior at auburn-brown, and trace that interior. Then, duplicate the outline layer, go there, and type in color code "#613507" for the 2nd interior layer at a very brownish color, and set its opacity at 46%-Normal.

Rivet-accurate color scheme[]

Fur[]

For the primary color of Rivet's game-accurate fur, I think you'll have to first type in color code "#acc9d4" for the first outline at a grayish cyan-blue color, and trace that interior. Please then add a new layer, drag it to the bottom of the interior layer, go there, type in color code, "#a5bfcb" and fill in the parts of the same color's primary variant.

Fur Stripes[]

For the fur stripes,...

White and lavender-purple color scheme[]

Redrawn Rivet artwork from 12-18-2023

This redrawn artwork I made of Rivet on December 12th, 2023, depicts how I re-imagined her fur's color scheme at sheep-white and lavender-purple.

Fur[]

For the primary sheep-white color, you first have to type in color code "#f9f9f9", for the first interior at that color, and trace that outline. Please then add a new layer, drag it to the bottom of the interior layer, go there, type in color code, "#ffffff", and fill in the parts of the same color's primary variant. Then, duplicate the interior layer, go there, and type in color code "#9a71ba", for the 2nd interior layer at lavender-purple, and set its opacity at 46%-Normal. Please then add a new layer between the two interiors, reselect color code, "#ffffff", choose the "Swordgrass" brush, and fill in the white to make that fur have a fur-like texture, and set its opacity at 36%-Normal. Make sure that all three layers are at 100%-Normal, before you merge them into one.

Fur Stripes[]

For the fur stripes, you first have to type in color code "#9a71ba" for the first interior at lavender-purple, and trace that interior. Please then proceed to duplicate the interior layer and type in color code "#492a70" for a regular-purplish color and drag the color to the duplicate layer to ColorDrop it.

Markazians[]

The Markazians, just like their game counterparts, are a humanoid species with either caucasian-peach, or light-pink skin, and elf-like ears. While the male ones still lack the tails, female ones, like Talwyn Apogee, still don't. They still posses the human-hand configuration, but they also possess the human-feet configuration, as well.

Here's how you can make them, in my art-style:

Bases[]

Female[]

Hair color[]

Dark brown[]

I think you'll need color codes, "#432914" and "#482d16" for that.

Red[]

To make your own redhead character, by making his, or her hair color, red, you'll need to use three color codes for that: #cd1513, #d31613, and one other reddish color.

Skin[]

When you choose the skin color, caucasian-peach, you'll need to type in color code "#f7c9b5" for the first interior at that color. Please then proceed to duplicate the interior layer and type in color code "#d9a78d" for a medium-palish color and drag the color to the duplicate layer to ColorDrop it. Please then add a new layer, drag it to the bottom of the 1st interior layer, go there, type in color code, "#f1ceba" for a variant of the same color and fill in the parts of the same color's primary variant.

Hands[]

Every humanoid, such as a markazian, always possesses the human hand configuration, with four fingers and a thumb on each hand. So, here are a couple of easy ways of how you can re-trace them, my way:

Outlined version[]
My Human Hand Sketch Tutorial Guide

This is a variant I did on New Year's Day, 1/1/2024, where the hand base's interior is colored in the outline.

You notice the grey line? It represents that the first step is to trace an easy sketch of the hand. It’s like when you’re doing so, for when you trace on a piece of paper, with a pencil.

Feet[]

My "Foot Anatomy" concept redraw

This is a redraw I did on August 25th, 2023, of the foot anatomy concept.

For the foot design of a caucasian-skinned markazian, they have to possess the human feet configuration, with five toes on each foot.

My "Human Foot Sole Detail" redraw from 1-14-2024

This is a redraw I did on January 14th, 2024, which details the human foot soles.

Cazar[]

Much like their game counterparts, the Cazars are feline humanoids with fur, tails, and five fingers, making them similar to the Lombaxes. However, their fur is dark brown, with few noticeable stripes, and they have sharp, pointed ears reminiscent of a fox. Both known cazars are politicians with prominent roles in the galactic government, and their homeworld of Marcadia is the location of Solana's capital and its presidential palace, suggesting that cazars play a key role in the Solana Galaxy's politics and society.

Here's how you can make them, in my art-style:

Fur[]

When you choose the fur color, at regular-brown, you'll need to type in color code "#8a5530" for the first interior at that color. Please then proceed to duplicate the interior layer and type in color code "#8f5831" for a variant of the same color and drag it to the duplicate layer to ColorDrop it.
